Who publishes Searxly, who hosts this site, and how to reach us — the information French law asks a website to make public.

5. Intellectual property & trademarks

The “Searxly” name, logo, and brand, and the original content, design, and code of this site and the Searxly application, are the property of the publisher and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may not reproduce, reuse, or misrepresent them as your own, except where an applicable open-source licence expressly allows it (see section 6). Third-party names and trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

6. Open-source components

Searxly is built on open-source software. In particular, the private-search feature is powered by SearXNG, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Searxly's modifications to SearXNG are published under the same licence, and the corresponding source is available in our source repository. The Searxly application's own code is source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. Full attributions and the written offer of source travel with each build.

7. Personal data

Searxly is designed to collect almost nothing about you, and there is no advertising or tracking on this site. How the app and site handle data — and the few points where anything leaves your device — is set out in our Privacy Policy. To exercise your data-protection rights, contact privacy@searxly.app.

The information on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice. Searxly is provided as described in our Terms of Service. We aren't responsible for the content or availability of third-party sites reached through links, or for how you use the software.

9. Governing law

This notice and your use of the site are governed by French law, as set out in our Terms of Service. If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you keep the mandatory protections of your home country's law.
